What better way to start off 2020 than with a new PartyLights.com website! We’ve been an online business since 1998, and we still like to keep up with the times. The new platform not only brings improvements that you can see and use, but also many you don’t. Maybe you’ve already visited our new website and immediately saw the updates or maybe you thought something was different but you couldn’t put your finger on it. Either way, we thought it would be helpful to walk through some of the new features, so you can take full advantage of them and make shopping for string lights and decor lighting even easier.

Browsing between our categories is now easier with the navigation menu anchored on the left side. This gives you quick visual access to jump between categories or subcategories. For example, many shoppers start in our String Lights category, but if you don’t see a combination that fits your needs, you can quickly browse to the Cords Only and Bulbs Only areas and build your own perfect outdoor string light set.
Check out our new home page product inspiration. We’ve included some of our most-shopped categories as featured blocks. Easily browse between Featured, New Arrivals, and Top Reviewed for shopping inspiration. Additionally, the subcategories listed are the most often visited for quick access if you know the specific type of lighting you want.
Filtering Your Search
Now it’s easier than ever to narrow down to exactly the style of string lights you want. Once you are in a category, the left navigation area has several options to narrow your search. Choose from cord length, LED vs. incandescent, bulb color, bulb style, and so many more.
An additional option available to narrow your search is the search box immediately above the image thumbnails. Here you can enter a product name, SKU or other search terms. Some find it helpful to use the “Sort By” feature which allows you to sort by Featured, New, Best Selling, Alphabetically, Reviews and Price.
A handy new feature that might not be immediately noticeable is the “Compare” button that appears when you hover over a product. If you’re deciding between a few or several products on a page, click this button and the product will be added to a “tray” on the bottom of your browser.
Once you have the items you’d like to compare in your tray, you can select the “Compare” button to open up a window that will show you all the product specifications side by side for you to easily see the differences.
Back in Stock Notifications
Be the first to know when an item you really want is back in stock! If a product is out of stock, click the “Notify Me When Available” button and enter your e-mail address. As soon as stock is added to our inventory, you will receive an email notification. Simply return to our website, and purchase the quantity you need.
Brighten someone’s day with a gift certificate from PartyLights.com! The link is found right next to the Cart button in the header (also found under the Customer Service link). Choose the exact amount that works for you. Consider a gift certificate for Father’s Day or Mother’s Day so they can get those lights they’ve been wanting to add to their patio area … or maybe it’s a wedding gift or housewarming present. Our gift certificates don’t have any expiration date, so they can take the time they need to decide on the perfect lights!
Manage Your Account
On our new website, Your online PartyLights.com account holds a wealth of information and tools! Create an account when you place an order or click “Register” in the header area to set up an account. Once complete, all the account features are at your fingertips to use.
- Order Status: Check on your order status at any time!
- Print Invoice: Reprint your receipt if needed and you no longer have your original emailed receipt.
- Tracking Link: Once your order has shipped, you can always find your tracking link under Shipping Details.
- Reorder: Select the Reorder button at the bottom of any order. Your products will be added to a new cart and ready for you to checkout. Perfect for reordering replacement bulbs to make sure you get the exact same ones!
Have a question about a specific order? In your Account, the Messages section allows you to select the order in question from a drop down menu and include your message to us. We respond to these order questions either the same business day or the next business day if after hours. We are still available to answer any questions through Live Chat, phone or email.
Manage all your shipping and billing addresses. Easily edit, delete or add as many addresses as you need.
Store and manage all your payment methods. This is handy for companies where an employee is making the purchase with a company card. Easily update credit card expirations, add a new card, and remove old cards. Know that your data is safe. PartyLights.com is not able to view any card data, and know that you data is safe.
Have different projects in mind that you need some lighting? Easily create a wish list for each one. On the product page of the item you’d like to include, similar choose the “Add to Wish List” drop down next to the “Add to Cart” button. From this menu, you can select a wish list you may have already created, or select the bottom option to “Create New Wish List”.
Give your wish list a name! You also have the option to make a list shareable. Simply check the “Share Wish List?” box, the click “Create Wish List”.
Your new wish list is now started with your first product. If you opted to make this a shared list, the public link appears below the wish list title. Simply copy this link and share it with friends and family.
All your wish lists can be viewed and managed in your account.
Forgot to save to a wish list but want to see an item you were looking at? No worries! Head to your account and view your recently visited products.
Easily update your contact information, as well as change your password.
